When i look in the mirror...

This is based on a book, NOT about me! Just so you know.

...i see Hannah Baker eyes

and an hourglass behind me winding down

i see scars that never healed

and lost things never found

 

i see bars repressing memories

and skin stained with tears

i see monsters in the shadows

living out my fears

 

when i looked in the mirror

 

i saw someone who needed help

but didn't know who or how to ask

i saw a scared little girl

for whom living is a task

 

now i don't look in the mirror

because i'm scared of what i'll see

as i swallow too many pills

and put an end to me

 

i don't wait for you to stop me

i'm already dead inside

i know you won't try to stop me

because in you i didn't confide

 

i hope you don't feel guilty

for my suicide

the fault is all my own

when asked if i was ok i lied

 

when i look in the mirror

i see Hannah Baker eyes

Hannah Baker is the name of a character in the novel "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher. AWESOME BOOK, by the way. if you haven't read it, you should.

I remember reading that book a little over a year ago, and I agree, it was a beautiful story of the reasons why she commited suicide and have often wondered what would be on my tapes. Great piece!
