she is me but not vice versaA Poem by Aislinn Gryffin ((Ashes))
she is me
but i am not her how can i be when i am an observer outside her watching her burn my sandalwood incense and candles on top of my desk watching her dance wildly then gracefully slow changing with the song she dances and dances and dances then finally drops to the floor longing for the cool tile because she's burning up from the inside out and sideways the candleflame keeps dancing entrancing her till she holds the candle suddenly desperately longing to set it on the ground and dance around it till her peasant skirt alights her movements are controlled by Creeps and she has lost control and sanity and reason that barely could grasp her before she is me but i am not her i am the unbiased observer nonchalantly watching her burn © 2010 Aislinn Gryffin ((Ashes)) |
