i cannot remove these stains

i cannot remove these stains

A Poem by Aislinn Gryffin ((Ashes))
"

another villanelle assignment for English class

"

Crimson blood pours from my veins,

Mascara-filled tears flow down my face.

And I cannot remove these stains.

I’m trapped and bound by invisible chains.

I tried to cut them but missed, and now

Crimson blood pours from my veins.

Mascara tracks and scars are what remains

from my guilt-ridden past and present,

And I cannot remove these stains.

My sight and my life waxes and wanes,

I can’t stop it, and now more

Crimson blood pours from my veins

I’m struggling against these restrains,

But I can’t reach the sink

and I cannot remove these stains.

I watch everything fade through the windowpanes.

I can’t help but cry as I fall asleep watching as

Crimson blood pours from my veins.

And I cannot remove these stains.

This kinda makes me sad, and it makes me hurt. I hope this really hasn't happened to you. But, this was wonderfully written.

Good but sad poem. Makes the reader wonder what was wrong. Good rhyme and description, Tru Knight.

Sadness is soaked deep in this poem.
But they're is hope in a few fading thoughts.

I like the ending most of all thanks for sharing.
