Another Midnight Write

i couldn't sleep tonight

so i took out my notebook

and tried to write.

But how do i describe that look???

 

The one where you gaze

As though treasure you see,

And i wonder for days...

'Cause the only thing there was plain old me.

 

And how do i describe the way

When i'm not with you my heart starts to ache???

i know exactly what mom would do and say:

Roll her eyes and "For Goodness' Sake."

 

And how do i describe that you are

Everything to me:

Every planet, every star,

Every grain of sand by the sea???

 

And how do i describe all the time

i spend thinking about you...

And trying to put my feelings in rhyme

To give you a clue???

 

i guess some feelings are too strong

To be bound by paper or even spoken aloud.

You can sit and try for so long

But the words will slip through your fingers, as light as a cloud.

I wouldn't say this is crappy at all !
Its perfectly true that love is one of the most indescribable things...
And writing after midnight, I find tends to be better lol :)
