No One

No One

A Poem by Aislinn Gryffin ((Ashes))

No one yet can see her scars,

No one hears her wish on stars.

No one ever knows her pain,

No one hears her ever complain.

No one sees her tear streaming,

No one hears her silent screaming.

No one realizes she's in pain,

No knows that she thinks she's insane.

No one knows how she longs for control,

No one knows the pain marking her soul.

No one yet sees the angry red lines,

No one knows the pain each line defines.

No one tries to look further in,

They only see the cuts on her skin.

No one tries to find out why,

They only try to make her cry.

No one tries to understand,

No one offers a helping hand.

They only leave her all alone,

Hurting, Unwanted, the reason unknown.

This...is insanely good.
I love the rhyme contrasted with the images, I mean, a lot of rhyming poetry is cutesy, and this isn't. This is really deep and it hits somewhere close to home for me, and I think we need to see more writing like this floating aroud on the site; never stop writing:]
