Roses for Casey

Roses for Casey

A Poem by Aislinn Gryffin ((Ashes))

It's Valentine's Day,

And Casey knows

That he's waiting for her

To give her a rose...

The way he does

Every Valentine's Day.

It's their last date,

But nobody knows

As they turn on her street

And she sniffs the rose...

A car swerves

Around the corner.

In the hospital room,

The doctor knows

She'll never wake up

To see the rose...

That the boy had set there

On her bed.

In a graveyard they stand,

And everyone knows

He'll miss her most

As he lays down the last rose...

On her tombstone

In the rain and tears.

His body is cold,

And his friends and family knows

He did it for Casey

'Cause he left a rose...

And his suicide note

Says "I miss her."

A rose for a Gift,

A rose for Love,

A rose for Healing,

A rose for Death,

And rose for a Memory

And a Message.

They are all his roses to Casey.

Despite how sad this was, it was really cute. Definitely my favorite that i've read recently.
