A little magic

A little magic

A Poem by Aislinn Gryffin ((Ashes))

What is rain?

Angel's tears or

Simply precipitation?

What is thunder?

The gods' applause or

simply an accompanyment of lighting?

What is lightning?

Zeus's fireworks or

Only heat caused by friction?

Rain is precipitation,

Thunder is lightning's companion,

And lightning is a flash of light generated by heat.

But wouldn't you rather think

-isn't it more fun to think-

Rain is angel's tears,

Thunder is the applause of the gods,

Lightning is Zeus's fireworks...?

I would...

Everyone needs a little magic

To believe in.

Cute poem, whimsical and well laid out. and well i love rain and storms so i can identify :P. well written. my only question is the line "-isn't it more fun to think-" im not sure if it's needed and kindof threw off the flow to me. just a suggestion :)

What a fascinating poem and so true. Life without magic would be dull. I like the format...the 3 line stanzas...so refreshing like the poem.
