Writer's Block

Writer's Block

A Poem by Aislinn Gryffin ((Ashes))

I cannot type,

I cannot write

With all these things

running through my mind.

The beginning of a thousand poems,

the end of a thousand stories.

The voices of a thousand people now lost to me.

I cannot speak,

I cannot think

With all these people

watching my every move.

The beginning of a thousand enemies,

the end of a thousand friendships.

The faces of a thousand strangers now forced on me.

Writer's block sucks majorly, quite frankly.
and sometimes there's just so much to say that you don't know where to start. then when you think you're finished you're not satisfied, you want to add more and more.

and this poem brings to mind the way I write, how I can't write or type when someone's looking over my shoulder.
it's something along the lines of self-consciousness.

Very good write.

wow I can't imagine caring so much about having writer's block, but I suppose for a serious writer it can be frustrating.. I would just be like, F**k this, I'm playing Sims.

Everyone knows that Writes block is diffuclut to have but even more difficult to write about. But you found the hay in the needle stack and you didn't bleed to death. Congrats.

Very nice, Writers block can cripple the best of us.

My favorite line is:
The voices of a thousand people now lost to me.

It is crazy to think that if one could not write how many characters, stories, and experiences would never be voiced. GREAT POEM!
