I lost myself

I lost myself

A Poem by Troy Dean

When she died
I thought I’d lost her
I hadn’t
I’d lost myself
Shattered in the blast
And I’m still searching
Occasionally I’ll find a broken piece of me
Some of them are not so pretty
They’re shamed deep with my failures
Stained with regret
I do my best to wash them
Before I put them back

very powerful peace / it seems to grow with time flowing on and on like the wind blowing at midnight
dough ting me an answer / a visible cortex a realm of dust that coats my mind in a winter storm I'm not
able to warm warm my very soul with no coat on Im homeless not of this world when these words penatrate
my ears / I don't know where I am I'm lost!
