The DayA Poem by Horse of a Different Colorjust an ordinary day
There is a delicate balance among everything,
A baby blue sky turns to orange and then red. The day dreaming birds give way to the night time frogs, Bellowing their dull sate tones of bass. From the distance the owls chime in, A gentile breeze blows across the field of grass. The stars and dark sky slowly lighten and turn to purple then baby blue, Early birds wake us from a restful slumber. A morning sun starts its trip up into the sky, Alas the day starts anew. © 2011 Horse of a Different Color |
