Breath of loveA Poem by Horse of a Different ColorA struggle to find the one who takes your breath away
One chapter does close, A new one is set to begin.
With fondness you look back and remember when. Some good, some bad, Not all the same. Unusual and cruel is this game. A game with rules as complicated as they are vast. Just as numerous as the thread count in a sailing ships mast. All clear they are not, Sometimes sparks fly and burn white hot. Over and done, Love has run its race. Beaten and broken the heart tries to keep pace. Unweilding and relentless life continues on. Until the last breath we take is exhaled and gone. © 2011 Horse of a Different Color |
