The visibly invisibleA Poem by Horse of a Different ColorThe struggles with love.
You look into my eyes, yet you do not see.
No fire, No flame, Not even me! It bogs down my mind to no end, So much so that i am broken and cannot mend. Here i am looking at you looking back at me, Hoping for just one moment that you will catch a glimpse of me. Unlike the writing on a chalkboard, White on black. Visible i am not, Lest the board does not crack. I feel not wanted, Nor alone. Shaken and rattled, I have been, Right down to my bones. Should i open like a flower? To reveal my one true need? I want to feel that need, So much. To the point that it has turned to greed. Greed can turn to a deep and dark despair, Closing in on love, Choking off its air. Is this the end? © 2010 Horse of a Different Color |
