Gateways

A Poem by TraverseTheSea

I looked at her through eyes like highways no man could navigate twice.
Newly paved roads I see layered over cracked concrete.
A broken bridge is nigh.
Night is her light even though her pupils neglect the resonant colors of the Earth.
Her aura is an atmosphere I long to breathe in.
Her energy like clouds in the form of hands grasping mine as I float forward.
This could be peace or war.

A amazing poem. The eyes can tell great stories. They can make feel like a king or so small you want to escape them. I like how you described the eyes of a woman. You described them with great skill and kindness. Last line is fact. A outstanding poem.
