Life: A Lyrical Ensemble

Life: A Lyrical Ensemble

A Poem by TraverseTheSea
"

My Life compared to a symphony

"
My life is a symphony and I'm the conductor.
One mistake could mean the end of the orchestra.
Every move I take makes a better instructor.

The hands of fate I use to play and sway
the choir that sings back to me like a replay.
The trumpets build the tension
Violins play my heart but not too hard cause the bow will make an incision.
Listen, the high hats and cymbals are the brain cells at work.
Telling the guitar I'm in pain, I hurt.

Now I'm on my knees, the keys release
emotion for the audience to feel and see.
Believe...the chimes are the imagination.
The gongs snaps me back to the minds grand station
called reality. Other ensembles try to battle me.
The baton is the only thing going against gravity.

I momentarily fly away
but I have to come back down
against the rain,
otherwise the highs against the lows would reign
supreme...a balance must be maintained.

So many styles can be rearranged
remember you'll lose listeners every time you change.
You might gain in return..or you could crash and burn
either way, still play... for a lesson is learned

this is beautiful! i love the how you meld music with life; conducting life with one's own "hands of fate." brain synapses flashing to cymbals crashing. i like how you gave it a good moral ending as well! great write
