Siren Song

Siren Song

A Poem by TraverseTheSea
"

The main theme of this is a man at sea being lured in by a Siren

"
Seems I've known you for so long.
Your words to me are so strong.
ringing in my ear from your voice.
Leaving me with no choice....
but to find you.
I know that you are beautiful.
When my eyes close I imagine you.
my body renders helpless
as I hover and glow at your presence.
There's no way this can be real..
but I can see, hear, smell, taste, and feel.

Who would've thought that you would be here while I journey to places unknown
Before I heard your whispers in my ear....I thought I was alone...
but now you've shown me that there's more to this...perhaps It's fate
So I will steer this vessel hoping to meet with every mile I take.

I can barely see in the distance.
The silhouette from the sun and ocean impairs my vision.
Your hair is dancing softly in the wind.
White birds welcome me to the palace within.
I know it's you I can feel you brushing along my skin.
All I ask from you is a kiss
better yet I wish to see you again

Seduced without even a touch...
Gambling away all of my luck
Now i know there's no such thing...
she smiles at me and now i'm falling
my arms are calling
but now i'm falling away from my dreams into reality

ringing in my ear
ringing in my ear
from your voice

Those siren can steal our heart and soul. We need them to give us purpose and reason to be alive. I like the emotion and story in the poem. So many strong statements. A outstanding poem.
