Dear You,
A few minutes more and the journey to 2016 would finally come to an end as another journey soon begins. And I am really grateful that I have survive this year even when I almost thought I couldn’t. This is by far the toughest but an excitement filled year I encountered.
This is the year where I first experience on the job training, this is the year I graduated, this is the year I got my first job, the year I first got my salary, the year filled with adventures, And most importantly this is the year with NO SLEEP.
From how I juggle my schedule during my ojt with major exams, quizzes, and paperworks to when I got hired at my current job. I guess I’ve learned to embrace the motto sleep is for the weak. Time was my challenger this year.
This was also the year loaded with heartbreaks, pains and struggles within myself. It taught me that life is not about pleasing everyone.
It’s about learning to stand on your own because the only person that could help you in the end is you, After all you are the decision maker of your life.
I’ve learned to accept that people come and go and not everyone is meant to stay and be at your life.
As cliche as it may sound some people walk in your life to provide you lessons so you may be deemed ready when your next opportunity comes. I’ve came to the fact that independence is one of the key drivers to success.
Growing up sometimes means losing contact with whom you call friends and you will soon be meeting alot different people who can help you every step of the way. But you have to remember that if they’re real it wouldn’t matter the distance, no matter how miles apart you are to each other, whether a thousand miles away or halfway across the world you will always have each other.
Before this year ends, Please be reminded that you are more than what you think you are made of. You are one of God’s precious creation and God wouldn’t let anything happen to you.
Keep on praying and praising him.
He would not give you anything difficult if he knows you wouldn’t be able to handle it.
Don’t let people sway your mind into thinking you can not do it, If you know from yourself that you can. They have no idea of what you are capable of, You have to show them.
Showing what you can do is different from showing-off. Show them to feel good about yourself, to have a little pride for yourself but not to impress the people around you.
It’s time to throw away the negative things that weighs you down and start embracing positive mantra.
You are young, you still have a lot to learn and a lot to experience. Some may be getting ahead of you but they’re working in their own timezone.
They have their own pace and journey and you are in yours. You can achieve the goals that you set if you just put your heart into it.
The bottomline is 2016 tested me so much that it taught me how to defy my limits,It taught me that it wasn’t conquering my fears that I was afraid of. Truth is I was afraid of showing my real self.
And for that I am truly grateful for the lesson 2016 had taught me.
So, bring it on 2017 cuz I’m ready to give myself an opportunity to grow. I’m ready to accept the next lesson to be molded into something better. ''
Signing out to 2016,
That girl around the corner
