Chapter ThirteenA Chapter by TrippLast one. Read up! =] Guys... This is amazing! I wish Kylen was here to-"A few days passed as Death snuck around the house on the cool brisk morning of October 30th. Her mom sat in the midst of the warmed up living room watching T.V. Death smiled and continued on her way past the kitchen and into the small hallway to the guest bedroom. She tried opening the door, Twisting the knob. Locked- She cringed, Grabbing a bobby pin and carefully unlocked it. She chuckled in evil laughter and continued on her quest. She turned the volume on the stereo up loud and stuck a candle on the dresser. "RENNA! WAKE UP! IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP!"Death shouted at the top of her lungs and turned on the radio as it blasted and sprayed silly string all over her. Renna jumped up, Screaming a bit and turned off her radio and turned it back down. "What the heck?! WHOOOAH!" "GOOD MORNING, RENNA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" "What?" she asked as she turned on the light. "Surprise!" the gang shouted out as Renna looked around in astonishment at all the people. She smiled happily, Rubbing her eyes, Tired. "Wha... What the hell?" she asked dozed. "Happy birthday, Renna." Pain said, Sitting on the edge of her bed and gave her a hug. "We have something for you." Roku exclaimed, Pulling a gift from behind his back and handed it to her. She looked at the beautiful wrapping and smiled. She didn’t want to mess it up and carefully untied the ribbon and placed it next to her on her covers. She slid her delicate fingers under the wrapping, Ripped it open carefully until it was all off and looked down at what her fingers had revealed, Her final destination. She gasped as the other three smiled.
"Do you like it?" Roku asked. "Yes. Yes I do." she smiled and let out a gasp of air through tears. She rubbed the cover, Not letting it go and stared at it, Reading it over and over again. Her friends had made her a photograph book of their past and present. There was a good two-hundred pages or more filled with stuff. Letters, Noted, Little items and souvenirs, Papers and of course, Pictures. The cover had the words, "Our Stupid Little Retarded Memories" written along with a picture of the gang and the date they all started hanging out. She looked through the book, Seeing things that she had forgotten, Things that made her laugh, Cry and things she didn’t even know were taken. She found a picture of her and Crimson at Deaths birthday party shoving cake in each others faces, A receipt from McDonalds when Pain turned EVERY word into something perverted, Renna and Kylens first kiss picture, A note that Crimson and Renna wrote back and forth, Concert tickets and much more. She smiled, Closing the book and hugged it and looked up at the gang. "Thank you, Guys. Thank you so much." she looked at all of them happily. "You’re welcome." they all replied. "Come on." Death said. "We made breakfast for you." "For me? Why? I could have done it." "No, No, No. It’s your birthday!" Pain said. "Yeah! ‘Sides... You’re always doing stuff for us." Roku smiled. "Okay. Okay. Then-" she yawned. "Let’s go!" They nodded, Standing up, Walking out and she set her gift on her bed after making it and walked out, Shutting her door.
She followed them out and into the dining room and rubbed her eyes, Getting used to the light and still in her P.J.s, Roku walked in from the kitchen, Setting down a plate of toast and jelly as Pain gave her cereal and milk and death gave her oatmeal as Renna laughed. "Thanks, Guys. Are y’all gonna eat?" she asked. "Already did." Roku responded. Hours passed and they finally headed off to school. "Come with me!" Roku spazed out, Pulling her hand. "Okay, Okay! I’m coming. I’m coming!" she smiled as the others followed behind her. "TA DA!" he shouted, Jumping and showing her locker to her. It was decorated with black and blue streamers with two balloons. A birthday sign and other things hung from the door as well.. She smiled, Looking it up and down.
"Guys... This is amazing! I wish Kylen was here to-" she stopped, Thinking about him. The others stopped, Remembering him as well. "Oh no..." Renna started to cry as Pain hugged her, Comforting her. "I’m-I’m sorry, Ren." he held her. "It’s okay. It’s my fault. I brought him up." she replied wiping her eyes, Looking up at the locker and walked off. The days went on and weeks passed along with months, Too until it was the night before Christmas. Memories of the horrifying creature, Still haunted their memories but had mostly faded. He had moved on for the winter, But to be back in warmer weather if fate allowed.
The snowflakes fell gently as Renna walked down the street. She looked up at the falling crystals and looked back ahead of her, The blowing wind making her shiver in cold. A few snowflakes fell on her clanging chains that were on her pants, Covering her boots. Some of the snow kicked up in the air as it fluttered back down. She kept walking until she reached her destination. The cemetery. Her nose, Ears and cheeks were red as she leaned down and put the flowers on the grave and searched her trench pocket until she found a picture and placed it on the grave as well. She gave a sad smiled and wiped the tear away as she dusted the snow off of the tomb. ‘Kylen Phylar’ was printed on it and the years he was alive. Renna sat back and laid down on top of the site, Falling asleep in the process. Hours passed as Pain walked up to her, Waking her. She moaned in bits of pain and tiredness as she looked up.
"Come on, Renna... You’re going to catch a cold... I’ll take you home." he said, Helping her up. "I’m living at Deaths place right now." she forgot he knew. "Okay. Why were you out here anyways?" "I wanted to spend Christmas with him. This would be our sixth year together." "I’m sorry." "It’s okay. I know it’ll be." "Okay. Let’s go home." Renna nodded and followed him home, Hugged him, Wished him well and walked inside, Sliding off her shoes. She picked them up and carried them to her room after unlocking her door and went back out to make hot chocolate. She walked back into her room, Sat at her desk, Turning on her computer and light and set her cup down, Clicked on things and began typing. She looked outside at the harsh, Cold night as white flakes danced their way down from the skies above and slid onto the ground and gently made its rest in one place. Not too long after, She fell asleep in her warm, Soft bed and twisted and turned, Thinking of that awful night, Woke up, Jolting in the air and screamed. © 2009 Tripp |
