To Love a Black Woman

To Love a Black Woman

A Poem by Trina Lee

To love a black woman
kiss every inch of her Melanin.
Dip her heart in gold.
Search her soul for hidden treasures at the end of every rainbow.
Be the captain of her ocean.
Glide her across the open sea.
Steer her in the right direction.
Penetrate her mind so deep
thoughts of you will shake her in vibrations.

When exposing her naked body
comfort her scars with no hesitation.
Lay down her fears and doubts peacefully.
Her heart been at war
losing too many battles.

Love her enchanted.
Awake her spirit like sleeping beauty.
Your kisses is a special kind of medicine.
Heal her where it hurts.
Put your lips on every inch
of her broken soul.
