Sin And Devotion

Sin And Devotion

A Poem by Ashley Renee` Janosko
"

"The trials of love, how damning..."

"
The battle rages onward slowly,
Time is no object when it comes to this fight,
But there is always a loser and a winner,
Too bad that the loser is the one you'd hate to see lost,
The loser is the one that gives all for a better day,
Fighting to make the smiles and dreams come true,
But who is the winner you ask,
The winner is sick and twisted,
Filled with venom and greed,
Only out to spite the loser in advantages that are devastatingly unfair,
This battle isn't for the faint of heart,
Nor for the easily lost and hopeless,
It takes devotion and sacrifice,
Things that most people wouldn't even dream to give up,
The battle is for the love of one you cannot have,
The winner is one that will not stay,
The loser was the hopeless romantic,
How ironic the twist fate has in store for us all?

Ah yes, haven't we all been there? Really good work, so casual and free but the stealthy phrasing and heavy emotion portrayed gives it a great flow. One of my favorite parts is "The battle is for the love of one you cannot have,/ The winner is one that will not stay, / The loser was the hopeless romantic." Its a screwed up game we all play. Many rarely win, and when they do, it just gives them more to lose in the end. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, love must be a pain in the butt.
Well, love is probably constipating if you
don`t excercise properly.
"Getting back to your poem, winner and loser,
hmmmm. Never thought of it like that---Geeezz, if he
gets something, she gets something and they both get
a helluva education. I donno, you got a point there,
but I`m goin out and fall in love and find out what the
problem is.
