Treasure your treasures

Treasure your treasures

A Poem by TrimarcoRansome

Open landscapes whisper

Fauna running free

Trees sway with the wild winds

Birds soaring be

Salmon jump upstream

Young grilse no more

Mighty as the oak tree

Of natures cellar door

Cherish the horizon

We look to each day

Feel passion in your heart

The suns golden rays

Mother groans beneath us

In her growing plight

Fragile balance splinters

Rationale takes flight

Seek the duty within us

Treasure gifts abound

Be thoughtful to nature

Before there is no sound.

I love your poem! There's much written about the plight of our planet & yet your message feels originally-stated & persuasive. Your title says it all -- top-notch word crafting! Better to stay above the various scientific arguments on climate change, etc. People who don't believe it just tune it out. Instead, you stay in the realm of appreciating how nature improves our lives, using strong, relatable details. I am into nature, living on the edge of wilderness, so I "treasure my treasures" every day! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Jeepers, if mother nature be given a hand for one day there would be many sore ears and smarting arses. Enjoyed reading this, your poetry flows so easily and, thank God, is not mired in riddles and no dictionary required

A great message to treasure our treasures for who will if we don't and keep our resources abundant for future generations or we will do them a disservice. I like the term : Cherish the horizon and even what lies beyond ...You use some good imagery and elements too...:)....

My Dearest Helen From Across The Pond,
Such a powerful write with words so full of wisdom that this should be published for the world to see. And once again you taught me a new word, that being “grilse”, I had always called them fry. Funny that I live in a land just liked your colorful tapestry reveals to the reader and eat untold pounds of salmon each year and I did not know that word.
Nature needs more people like you. I loved this, a sheer delight to read.

Blessings, Your BillBear
