The magical emotions playing an instrument brings its mistress, how the violinists feelings are translated through the violin.
Sketching the bow across taunted strings, Gliding adeptly her intense eyes sing, Serenading its captor into melodious bliss, Nimble her fingers romancing the kiss, Tango the pizzicato reality inept, Violinista masquerades a fraud in step, Mistress of music in all she fails, Vibrato her tears when her dry eyes prevail, Muted with sadness her fiddle sustains, The violin echoing her silence remain, Loves long lingering and time erodes her, Music healer of that crumpled core, Replenishes the soul regenerating her encore, Up bow of power surges through veins, Sonneto, her therapeutic remedy to pain.
My Dear Friend Helen From Across The Pond:
I have read this poem several times, I hear its words streaming into my thoughts as the music of Antonio Vivaldi plays in the background. I so love his music and feel he is one of the best virtuoso violinist ever to quicken my soul.
I can relate to playing an instrument and feeling all the emotions it brings to my pneuma. It is like a union of the deepest of relationship, the feedback between the instrument and its privileged guardian. And I say privileged guardian as can anyone actually own something that speaks so deeply to mankind and who’s melodic voice transcends time? I think we are just for our short lives its temporary guardian.
I loved the write, my personal favorite of yours so far. The two lines that spoke the deepest to me were “Music healer of that crumpled core,
Replenishes the soul regenerating her encore”.
I once decided that I should play an instrument. So I grabbed what every normal Indian would play, the bagpipes. I would start playing and all my dogs would run to their house and in unison start howling until I quit. It got to the point just bringing the pipes out on my porch would send the to their house and the howling would begin with out one note from me. Maybe I should not call it notes as it rather sounded like someone beating the hell out of a cat when I played. The point is that the magical emotions playing an instrument brings, never came.
One day I heard the native cedar flute, I fell in love. I now count myself privileged to be the guardian of this mover of my spirit. As I breathe life into it, it breathes life back into me. And my dogs will sit and listen, no ruckus from them!
Your tapestry was beautiful, thank you.
Blessings, Laughing-Bear

You understood the very soul of this poem. I think only a musician can, you describe exactly what I was saying here, the relationship between the instrument and human is a virtue indeed, an extension of our beings, counsel to our emotions, thank you so much for your words, they always capture the core of the write,

Yes, I can tell you are well read. Wonderful poem with natural sounding rhymes (did you miss off an 's' from the last word 'pain'?)

NO, now I see your point, stick to the singular. Rhymes can be a little bit 'off key'!!!
I love different kinds of music, and it is indeed a joy to be able to play an instrument (any musical instrument). Music can soothe the soul. Nicely penned.

Thank you for stopping by! Music is the pathways to souls.
I adore violin music, I can't imagine the joy one must feel being talented enough to play one, you aptly delivered on the harmony within one's soul that is derived from this elegant instrument, lovely work.

This was awesome!! As a fan of the violin and violin music (classical) I was truly, deeply entertained by the fact that you interwove violin terms with your smooth poetry. Many masterful lines were embedded with this work "Muted with sadness her fiddle sustains/The violin echoing her silent malady. Excellent stuff. Good write, glad I meandered upon this. :)

Love the title 'Violinista' so nice, honestly I would love it if this was expanded! Maybe a little bit more description of the emotions the 'Mistress of the Violin' is feeling as she plays. Maybe she's playing before an audience and she's pouring her heart out because right before she came on stage she received horrible news? Maybe she's playing only for herself and letting the music consume her and take her to new realms of dept and magic? A great idea I would love it this became an epic tale of all the love and hardship the girl went through and all of that is spilled out of the violin like it's a door to the girls soul! Very wonderful
