My Dear Writing Friend,
I really liked the piece word of art! The first line grasp my attention, it would not let go. I loved your choice of word with the use of “mélange”. A perfect word rarely used today it would seem. I posted is meaning below.
As I pondered this write this thought came to me. People coming into our lives seem to be there either for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
Professor Galic walked into my life and changed they way I view the world, he was a reason. My children’s mother, and I call her that out of respect as she gave me my children and I think calling your children’s mother the X is wrong, was my best friend. I never dreamed we would not be a lifetime. She was a season. My friend Oslie, whom I named my lead dog after walked into a small café where I was having breakfast. We started talking and have been best friends every since. Might he be a lifetime? All have added something to my life they have made this curmudgeon a better man.
This in my opinion is your best work I have read so far, well worth my muse. I am impressed with your ability to feel the pulse of life, them put into words the reverberate truth.
Blessings, Laughing-Bear

I wrote a blog about that very saying only last week, reason, season lifetime. I believe we cross paths for a reason and we all take [or give] something from each person we meet. I learn from everyone and hope to give more than I receive in life to each person whom I encounter.
Melange indeed equals a mixture, in this case of emotions and thoughts.
I physically feel the emotions as I write about them, it is these poems I do not edit or mess around with...They were meant to be, just so.
