The American ManifestoA Poem by TrikiusA call for freedomOh say can you see, a land not so free Where the chains of debit are shackled to you and me A place where the rich decide what laws shoud be And make our goverment bow at the knee
For the pockets of few we bleed out the poor Through tools like the patriot act they can just walk through your door They privatize prisons and build them from shore to shore And if all who read this stand up to fight, they'll just build one more
Let us not be the generation that takes our fathers place Let us rise to fight this evil and meet it face to face Does it not sicken you to watch your freedoms be erased Being able to cite supreme court rulings when charged in a tax case
Our founding fathers fought for a republic that would last But the rich bankers have made that dream a thing of the past I tell you brothers and sisters their power is vast But so is our's whenever we join in mass
We must put an end to the corruption and lying Because if we dont there will only be more of us dying More of our mothers and children crying And our world will countinue to change without us ever deciding
