The Last Words of A PatriotA Poem by Trikius...
Brothers and sisters can you hear my sorrowed voice It pleads to your hearts to please make a choice Will we live another day as puppets on our strings Or find truth in are lives and the joy that it brings
The goverment that leads us is corrupt to the core The only progress they make is towards the next world war With big business in town the rich do so well And when the poor speak up their thrown into a cell Look at the country you live in today A place where it's a crime to get married if your gay When we band together they send cops in attack And fill our prisons with the poor and the black We must stand up,we must fight for our right's Even if it means putting them in our gun sights If we have to we'll march and burn down the hill And restore our constitution bill by bill I can only hope that someday i'll see My brothers and sisters living in a nation thats free Truly I hope my words touch deep in your heart And together someday we'll make a new start Author: M.Rose © 2010 TrikiusAuthor's Note
