My Mind Was in My HeartA Poem by Tricia Mc
I too had forgotten the grass
But I used to do one-handed cartwheels Then collapse in to it for the fine site of the blades close up And there was no sense of any kind of time I was not holding in my stomach Or wondering what does my opinion mean to others I was not regretting any part of my self There was only sun-rich color and the slight give of the earth beneath me My mind was in my heart © 2017 Tricia Mc |
