The Wondering Bee
The bee meets the flower
Most gentle of lovers
you hover over me
And land for a bit
Hopping dew dappled petals
for hours
The sweetest of kisses
What powers you have
Sweet and sublime
Dining on pollen by day
And honey at night
You might just stay
You'll lay close and I'll say
"Please don't take flight"
But away you will go
And I will know
That other flowers await you

Really like this one Tricessimus. Nature in action and isn't that just like the human species too. Plenty of wandering bees wanting to pollinate pretty flowers, and they do before moving on to others.

Aww, this is such a wonderful allegory. Take it as is...or think of that lover who just won't stay...
they mate and move on to another flower...there is no attachment...that is why they have wings.
really good piece, Tricessimus.
