ChangeA Story by CrashDavis47More of an essay or just some thoughts strung together.Benjamin Franklin once said “Think of these things: whence you came, where you are going, and to whom you must account." I find of late, that my thoughts seem to be revolving around one particular subject; change. Can I change? Will I change? Should I change? How can I change? And what should I change? All are good questions and as such are difficult to answer. “. Looking at where I am in life I’m surprised. Never did I think I would be where I am luckily I am young and hopefully will have plenty of time to change in order to achieve my goals. If you are reading this you may be asking yourself why you must change to achieve your goals. This next quote has been attributed to several people and as far as I can tell none have been clearly proven to have said it first… therefore I simply place it under anonymous. “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.” Many people myself included are by this quote considered insane. We wish and hope for many things yet we continue on a path which will never help us to achieve our hopes and dreams. We fear change yet most of us hope to change our circumstances for the better. In a rough patch of my own life when I felt I had no choice I thought I was particularly clever when I said “sometimes life gives you lemons and lets you do what you want with them. Other times life b***h slaps you and says make lemonade.” " Trevor Yoho. However true this may be at times there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Greet it with a smile and find a way to change that which needs changing in order to achieve your goals, your dreams, and your happiness This particular subject could be written about for pages upon pages yet I feel I should keep this short and leave you with a few thoughts and quotes. “The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward. “-Amelia Earhart Do I, do you, do we have the courage to change what we must in order to get what we want? "All humanity is divided into three classes: those who are immovable, those who are movable, and those who move!" -Benjamin Franklin What class am I, what class are you? Do we have the strength to find out? In closing I would like to thank you for reading this essay if I can call it that. Writing this helped me clarify a few things in regards to what I want and put me on the right track to obtain those things. Hopefully it has or will help you someday. © 2010 CrashDavis47Author's Note
