Fleeting

Fleeting

A Poem by Trevelyn

The day I died

She went insane

Fickle weather made

Wanton worries fade . . .

Into the breeze

Was brokenly sang

Lonely winter odes

Forlorn whimpers without bang

Rakki bayed sharp

Slobbering saliva tears;

Behold: broken bones repaired

Towards the grave Docster stared

Back in game,

Charles deftly played

Life never slowed;

Death never dismayed

~^~^~^~^~Time ceased to be

That curious day

Of stuffed mushrooms served

On Mary's floral tray~~~~~~~~

-~-~-~-~-I deserted "life"

That lost loves may

Return to play

The melody I forgot---------.
