Fireflies

Fireflies

A Poem by Trenchcoat_Poetry

Every word/ line in this poem has been plucked out from Bray Wyatt promos over the years in WWE. RIP Windham x

"

You always told me that the war to bring down this machine would be a long and daunting process,
And you were right.

The wolf will never lose sleep, worrying about the feelings of sheep.

But no-one ever told the sheep, that they outnumber the wolves.

I didn’t make the world the way it is… you did.

Today is the day that hell froze.

Today is the day that pigs fly.

Today, me and my people looked at fear right in the eye and said

“Mr. Fear, sir, you are a liar”.

But if you need me, I ain't hard to find.

All you gotta do is go look up in the sky.

Follow the buzzards.

I'm not afraid of death. I'm not afraid of anything.

At the curtains call it’s the last of all.

When the lights fade out all the sinners crawl,

on their hands and knees looking up to the Eater of Worlds,

I will take my rightful place among the gods as the new face of fear.

For I am the colour red in a world full of black and white.

But be careful inviting the devil into your backyard,

Because, he may just like it, eith the whole world in his hands.

And for that, you should run.

My advice to you is that you enjoy your world as long as you can,

Even though we have stuck you with all these daggers,

You are still walking upright.

Brothers and sisters,

Surround yourself with those who light your path.

And just remember my fireflies. I will always light the way.

All you have to do…

Is let me in.
