and the gay kids make everything better

and the gay kids make everything better

A Poem by Trekkie
"

written for Lydia for lack of a reason

"

and the gay kids make everything better

dancing on the streetops on the roof of the dawn
whispering sweet praises from the middle of awe
you remember me; i'll remember too
kiss under the streetlamps, warmed because of you

and the gay kids make everything better

you hear threats from friends, hear threats from love
hear threats from parents, family, teachers; doves
raised from ashes,  but you don't have to care
look around a bit, realize that nobody's there

and the gay kids make everything better

christmas lights glitter over london again
kiss him here, kiss him now, it's my town, after all
light from the clock tower, dark from the sky
and you never thought you had to ask why

and the gay kids make everything better

About
I'm a convoluted trekkie who spends too much time procrastinating. I can see the Northern Lights from my house in the winter and I've memorized startlingly large portions of King Henry IV, part one. more..
