Hazy Memories

Hazy Memories

A Poem by Dante Thomas
"

A special writing for a special someone

"
Hazy memories of past days
Crackling bonfires under milky moonlight rays
The sound of laughter and screams fill the air
Distance memories flood back of the brown eyed girl from the fair

Brown eyes and carmel skin linger in my dreams
Her infectious smile and laughter ripping me from my very seams
Her form dances in the pale moonlight of my mind
I trace every fiber of her seeing if there's anything to find
Absolutely perfect in every way, shape, and form
She is the shelter that protects me from these raging thoughts that have produced a storm

.... Distance memories of the brown eyed girl from the fair haunt me in the most warm way. I have no more to say except I will make her my wife some day...
