Alzeihmers

A Poem by Tree Bark
"

this is not mine! i just really related to it...

"
Asking so politely in my smallest voice,
Grandpa could you make me some ice cream?
Vanilla always my choice.
And there in your eyes, was that shining gleam.

Your love is never ending.
You've always been lending,
A helping hand,
Or a safe place to land.

Smile spread across your face
Letting me win every race.
A child's love could only grow,
From someone who shows love only old ones know.
I'd ask a favor,
Even if it had to do with labor,

I knew you'd say yes.
Never had to guess.
Your one of those people you never think will go away.
Who'll always wake with an oncoming day.

So now I regret every second I can't take back.
For not giving you the attention you lack.

You'll forget my name.
But that's not really the shame.
You'll forget my face.
Holding with that's the case.
