Come Cast Your Stones

Come Cast Your Stones

A Poem by Tree Bark
"

So cast your stones and set my spirit free. Grant me death and its sweet serenity.

"
When this cruel world decides to cast a stone
And damn me to a fate of certain death,
I look into my heart, and I, alone,
Know that I'm doomed with every living breath.
Until my life's candle must fade away,
And the wick crumble with the zephyr's blow,
I wait with patience till the very day
The winds of change will come to claim my soul.
Though I live, my eyes are filled with sorrow,
Knowing I will never feel happiness.
I live my days empty, alone, hollowed
From a world cursing me with nothingness.
So cast your stones and set my spirit free.
Grant me death and its sweet serenity.
