Sidewalk

Sidewalk

A Poem by Blotter

My shadow on the sidewalk

     (sunset is very close)

collides with the kneeling figure

of an Asian woman planting flowers

near the edge of her yard.

I am twenty feet away

but I have already enveloped her

in a manner too familiar

for we strangers.

She should look away.
