Night Soil
A Poem by
Blotter
A little night digging.
Turning the soil,
in desperation;
her ring,
her dirty hair.
I call this love;
To toil for her.
Shallow, always shallow.
The ground is hard,
the dirt; rocky.
Sleep... sleep sound.
I love you.

I enjoyed the earthy tones in this, with an unexpected ending, like reaching gold. Fool's gold maybe.

This makes me think. At first I was thinking grave digging, towards the end I was wondering...
I enjoyed the image it gave me in my head. Great job! :)
