The
first leaf
of autumn… (tiny, but still the first) lies on the roof outside the window. It is heavier than the house it rests on. This leaf is early, a month of summer still threatens
me. It is too late to do anything now. I have waited too long, wasted good time… …on bad ideas. I don't know…. I have never
known,
I have forgotten, and failed. (and in doing so
failed again to learn). Autumn brings change;
always
has. © 2013 Blotter |
