How do you start a letter to the human race?

How do you start letter to the human race?

A desperate attempt for a change of pace.

You’d think the worry would be about my ideas conception

I just pray I can keep your attention.

We are so alone, you and I.

Without love, we fear we will die.

And that fear, keeps us a part

You see with that wall we were doomed from the start

But I don’t want that to be.

I believe that we can get through it, you and me

So I do my best, to give all I can

But I can’t do it alone, I just can’t

You see I was afraid to record this and reach out

You may hear my tears, and tune me out

I won’t blame you.

I just thought I’d try to make something true.

That just maybe someone could be touched

And give love to the world, it would help a bunch

To see a person in pain, and offer a shoulder

A person crushed from life, and you help move the boulder

It’s a simple thing like my simple rhyme

But if you do it, then they might in time.

Please give it a try, because we all need a hero

A stranger to come along and just…make us feel worth something

Now, I’ll let you go

I’m sure this is something you know.

I just thought I’d try you see

because that person you help, just might be me.
