Devil's Wish

Devil's Wish

A Poem by Travis Prino

SO THIS IS IT

THE END OF ALL ENDS

but what did you expect from me

to lay here dying as you watch me bleed

and I bleed from this heartache

that ultimately breaks me into pieces

that you sweep into the trash just like before

SO THIS IS IT

THE END OF ALL ENDS

but what did you ever really want from me

to make me love you just so you could leave

and you left me with my despair

that ultimately tears me into pieces

of the man I was when I was still sane

AND WE STAND

here face to face

haunted memories we can't replace

and only time will tell

if I can escape this hell

that you

dragged me

into

I'll swallow Valium

so I can't feel what I've done

to myself again

this knife will penetrate

but soon I'll be sedated

and I won't even notice as my body starts to decay

I'll swallow Valium

so I can't feel what I've done

to myself again

this knife will penetrate

but soon I'll be sedated

and I won't even notice as my body starts to decay

AND WE STAND

here face to face

haunted memories we can't replace

and only time will tell

if I can escape this hell

that you

dragged me

into

I've realized living without you is hell

but if this is hell then I've danced with the devil

now I'm dying cause the devil's wish came true

now I'm dying cause the devil is you

AND WE STAND

here face to face

haunted memories we can't replace

and only time will tell

if I can escape this hell

that you

dragged me

into

and my soul just floats away

to a better place

a place without you.

Just a little caveat to my writing, 95% of what I write are lyrics so excuse the length and repetition and don't be deterred by that. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to comment. more..
