Killer In Me

Killer In Me

A Poem by Travis Prino

I'll take a drag of this cigarette

laced with cyanide

today is one I won't forget

the end of time

I'll wash it down with a cup of alcohol

to drown your lies

and soon enough I won't feel anything at all

my fatal sacrifice

and I feel my soul leave my body

it's too late now these angels got me

and they carry me to the sky

you're a ticking time bomb in my heart

counting down the seconds till you blow me apart

you used to be the only thing I need

but you've become a lethal killer in me

I'll take a walk to the edge of nowhere

a pristine paradise

to see if I can find some closure there

to free my mind

I'll take a drive off the highest cliff

to the crashing tide

swallow me whole cause I won't be missed

my final suicide

and I feel my soul leave my body

it's too late now these angels got me

and they carry me to the sky

you're a ticking time bomb in my heart

counting down the seconds till you blow me apart

you used to be the only thing I need

but you've become a lethal killer in me

you sent this poison running through my veins

you took my life with all the games you played

but from you I am saved

from you I am saved

you sent this poison running through my veins

you took my life with all the games you played

but from you I am saved

from you I am saved

you're a ticking time bomb in my heart

counting down the seconds till you blow me apart

you used to be the only thing I need

but you've become a lethal killer in me

these angels carry me to the sky

and they'll never hurt me like you did.

Just a little caveat to my writing, 95% of what I write are lyrics so excuse the length and repetition and don't be deterred by that. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to comment. more..
