3,000 Miles

3,000 Miles

A Poem by Travis Prino

Another endless night begins

thinking of you

how we used to be good friends

but what did I do?

now you've gone away

so far away

and I can't see you

3,000 miles apart

but you're still so close to my heart

with nothing in between

but street signs so misleading

3,000 miles apart

but you're still so close to my heart

with nothing in between

but street signs

leading me back to you

another day where the sun didn't shine

thinking of you

remembering when you could've been mine

but what did I do?

how we got to be so close

oh so close

then I lost you

3,000 miles apart

but you're still so close to my heart

with nothing in between

but street signs so misleading

3,000 miles apart

but you're still so close to my heart

with nothing in between

but street signs

leading me back to you

looking up into the sky

wonder if you see the same as I

looking up into the sky

wonder if you see the same as I

looking up into the sky

wonder if you see the same as I

looking up, looking up

3,000 miles apart

but you're still so close to my heart

with nothing in between

but street signs so misleading

3,000 miles apart

but you're still so close to my heart

with nothing in between

but street signs

leading me back to you

and if we look up long enough

we might just find each other in the dark.

Just a little caveat to my writing, 95% of what I write are lyrics so excuse the length and repetition and don't be deterred by that. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to comment. more..
