Burn

Burn

A Poem by Travis Prino

I can't breathe with your hands around my neck

did you really expect me to believe you?

well I believed you and now I'm dead

from the words you said

you broke me down

you burnt me out

we can't even be friends anymore

it's escalated to a point of no return

we can't even be friends anymore

it's escalated to a point of no return

and I have burned

now I will burn for you

I can't see with this fire in my eyes

I remember the night that you said you were leaving

and it killed me so now I'm dead

from the words you said

they didn't make a sound

you burnt me out

we can't even be friends anymore

it's escalated to a point of no return

we can't even be friends anymore

it's escalated to a point of no return

and I have burned

now I will burn for you

I'll drink this gasoline

so pure and so pristine

light a match and watch me burn

I'll drink this gasoline

so pure and so pristine

light a match and watch me BURN

I'LL BURN FOR YOU

ALL FOR YOU

CAUSE OF YOU

I BURN

I'LL BURN FOR YOU

ALL FOR YOU

CAUSE OF YOU

I BURN

we can't even be friends anymore

it's escalated to a point of no return

we can't even be friends anymore

it's escalated to a point of no return

and I have burned

now I will burn for you

now cause of you I burn.

I like your formatting, it creates very intense emotion and builds up into this grand finale of a message, I can feel the upset in it. This was a great read.

Just a little caveat to my writing, 95% of what I write are lyrics so excuse the length and repetition and don't be deterred by that. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to comment. more..
