Reason to Crawl

Reason to Crawl

A Poem by Travis Prino

You sleep where sun doesn't shine

how does it feel to be blind?

in the hole that you made for yourself

to everything to everyone else

isolated, separated

you've become so, so jaded

in a world you despised

you crawled away to a place you could hide

all the feelings of rejection

built up to resentment

they eat at you and your soul

you crawled away to a place of your own

you wake with no one around

alone is what you have found

to be the meaning of your life

like a gift you're wrapped up so tight

isolated, separated

you've become so, so jaded

in a world you despised

you crawled away to a place you could hide

all the feelings of rejection

built up to resentment

they eat at you and your soul

you crawled away to a place of your own

you live your life in a box

enclosed to only your thoughts

of happiness brought by seclusion

making your dreams your illusions

isolated, separated

you've become so, so jaded

in a world you despised

you crawled away to a place you could hide

all the feelings of rejection

built up to resentment

they eat at you and your soul

you crawled away to a place of your own

you feel nothing at all

you are prepared for the fall

you found a reason to crawl

a reason to crawl

you feel nothing at all

you are prepared for the fall

you found a reason to crawl

a reason to crawl.

Just a little caveat to my writing, 95% of what I write are lyrics so excuse the length and repetition and don't be deterred by that. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to comment. more..
