Love in a Photograph

Love in a Photograph

A Poem by Travis Prino

You came to my house late last night

the lights were off and no one was home

you waited at the door for me

did you really expect me to forgive you?

for all the games that you have played

that always end up the same

now I miss you

this time I miss you

you called me on the phone twice today

I didn't pick up so you left me a message

you cried for me to call you back to take you back

but I'm so sick and tired of the same old s**t

that you put me through for oh so long

I'll wave goodbye as I sing you this song

now I miss you

this time I miss you

I put away your photographs

I've burned all of your stuff

I'm finding out the hard way

that love is not enough

this is the end of something beautiful

this is the end

the end of you and me

this is our last goodbye

though I may regret it

I'm never going to feel this way again

this is our last goodbye

though I may regret it

I'm never going to feel this way again

I'm never going to feel this way again

so this is our last goodbye

I put away your photographs

I've burned all of your stuff

I'm finding out the hard way

that love is not enough

this is the end of something beautiful

this is the end

the end of you and me

but now I miss you

this time I miss you.
