Summer Meets Winter

Summer Meets Winter

A Poem by Travis Prino

Questions placed before me

with the answers undefined

how did you become to me

an image so divine?

holding on to something

that was lost so long ago

reasoning with demons

that are deep within my soul

you are the wind that blows

you are the crisp of the air

you are the summer rain

you are the white winter snow

you are the dark of night

you are the vibrant one

you are what keeps me here

and it makes me wonder why

I lost you a time ago

I can't remember when

I lost more than a lover

I lost my greatest friend

you made me feel important

you made me want to shine

but somehow I lost you

I got left so far behind

you are the wind that blows

you are the crisp of the air

you are the summer rain

you are the white winter snow

you are the dark of night

you are the vibrant one

you are what keeps me here

and it makes me want to die

I haven't forgotten you

I think about you everyday

the thought alone it keeps me going

there is nothing I can't face

I know someday you'll be right here

though you think that I am wrong

you'll be back here beside me

right back where you belong

you are the wind that blows

you are the crisp of the air

you are the summer rain

you are the white winter snow

you are the dark of night

you are the vibrant one

you are what keeps me here

and it makes me want to try

cause I am forever waiting for you.

Just a little caveat to my writing, 95% of what I write are lyrics so excuse the length and repetition and don't be deterred by that. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to comment. more..
