Unravel

Unravel

A Poem by Travis Prino

Watch me

I'm falling to pieces

you think that you know me

but I don't listen to reason

watch me

I'm falling away from you

you think that you got me

but I'm soaring without a clue

stop me

save me from dying

you already lost me

can you hear yourself crying?

stop me

catch me when I fall

you drop everything

though you have nothing at all

cry yourself to sleep

cause you can't let it be

cry yourself to sleep

cause you're no longer with me

no longer with me

watch me

secretly from afar

you used to have me

but you let it come apart

watch me

hopelessly wonder

you lie by yourself

curled up under the covers

stop me

before I am gone

you want to hold me

but you waited far too long

stop me

keep me from leaving

you do all you can

you'll even keep me from breathing

cry yourself to sleep

cause you can't let it be

cry yourself to sleep

cause you're no longer with me

no longer with me

watch me

now that it's over

you thought you had me

now you can't stay sober

watch me

continue to live my life

you tried to kill me

but I slipped right through your vice

stop me

if only you could

you already tried

failing always like you should

stop me

now cause we are through

you ruined it all

so now I've ruined you

cry yourself to sleep

cause you can't let it be

cry yourself to sleep

cause you're no longer with me

no longer with me

became obsessed

turned into a mess

now you're on your own

and you unravel until you're gone.

Just a little caveat to my writing, 95% of what I write are lyrics so excuse the length and repetition and don't be deterred by that. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to comment. more..
