Walking away from this pain deep inside

walking away to a place I can hide

walking away from these people I meet

walking away from this girl in defeat

crying alone with my head in my hands

crying alone cause I can't understand

crying alone when I find out the truth

crying alone not knowing what to do

and I see it in your eyes

that you put on a disguise

and all the things that I've been told

are now starting to unfold

so when I walk away

you'll be begging me to stay

but you told me to let go

so I guess we'll never know

feeling ashamed of the things that I said

feeling ashamed waiting for the end

feeling ashamed confused and bitter all the time

feeling ashamed I let you f**k with my mind

turning my back on all that I feel

turning my back cause I just can't deal

turning my back though it is a mistake

turning my back from the hurt you create

and I see it in your eyes

that you put on a disguise

and all the things that I've been told

are now starting to unfold

so when I walk away

you'll be begging me to stay

so I guess we'll never know

revisit the past to give it a go

revisit the past to learn what I didn't know

revisit the past to right all the wrongs

revisit the past this won't take too long

all by myself struggling in my head

all by myself cursing all that I did

all by myself I'm starting anew

all by myself trying to forget you

and I see it in your eyes

Not a bad poem to express your feelings and that's what its intention as a poem should be. There are places where the lines could be shorter and perhaps the poem as a whole could be cut down shorter but overlooking that the feeling you are trying to get across is there and its a bit sad to see a relationship fall apart in such a way.

Thanks for the comment. I do tend to write on the longer side since most of my writing are songs in my head so I write them as such. I appreciate the input.
