Wasting Away

Watching as the sun goes down
believing everything around
cringing cause I can not take the sound
moving forward up the creek
losing sight of what I seek
these words are caught in my throat and I can't speak

wasting away
I feel it as my body trembles I'm
wasting way
my life feels like it's disassembled I'm
wasting away
and this is something that I can't handle I'm

pull myself together now
get my life on track somehow
I never knew this world could be so loud
started in the wrong direction
searching for someone's affection
now nothing looks the same in my own reflection

forgetting everything I know
all I have I'm letting go
hoping that this time I'll thrive and grow
looking back into my past
I realize it's fading fast
so I'll say goodbye and try to make this last

I get it Brother. I get the pain. Whatever it is that's hurting you. I feel like I'm wasting away myself. Hung up on a girl that broke my heart and took everything. I think that this poem would make a great song. Good work.
