ColorsA Poem by Travis MitchellI decided not to go with a real set up or format with this one.
If I pointed you to the sky
Would you believe what I see? Born on Different Days. From different mothers. Different eyes with Different colors Do different colors see different things? Where I see Heaven, you'll see stars. Do we wonder whether Heaven is held beyond the stars, Or that each Star is it's own Heaven? Do the Angels place them there for us? While you looked to find what I saw in space. It was only an excuse so I could look at your face. I see through Brown You see through Green In your reflection, everything above is translated Each star now, reads like a story Each planet, teaches a history lesson With each object set in your gaze. I realize faster and faster Green is the only color I ever want to see. © 2016 Travis MitchellAuthor's Note
