Soldger Sunk a Salor

Soldger Sunk a Salor

A Poem by TravisBriere
"

A thoughtful, opinionated poem based on my encounters with the solders of fortune I have had the time and privilege to warn you about from their discussions on history ,and plans for the future.

"

SOLDIER SUNK a SAILOR

Lest we forget the soldier of fortune
who assaulted the beaches with his pen
dipped in the well of mother’s tears,
sailor’s blood.

Created a scrawl of crimson red
a sin he never wishes to amend,
Stroked his pen form Berlins parliament
to the bloody Tonkin Gulf

Lest we forget the soldier of fortune
for he marches on…

Marched right over the Middle East
A hunger for oil that will never cease
from Adolf’s lips to Americas mouth
LETS KICK THOSE B******S OUT!
Three point six holocausts and counting
still those civilian Casualties keep mounting.
Check the profits for today,
Don’t worry everyone it will be all right
This is a noble and holy fight

Lest we forget the soldier of fortune
for he marches on…

China's war machine keeps humming,
The European debts keep drumming,
The political powers keep seething,
forget the past it’s you’ve all been dreaming
Why should we now forget?

Lest we forget the soldier of fortune!
For he marches over you,
For he scrawls all over you,
For he dips his pen into you…
