Complicating Jealousy

Complicating Jealousy

A Poem by Travie
"

I wrote this when jealousy struck me as a way to let it out.

"
Jealousy is a b***h,
Like a storm inside your head,
Dark clouds hover over,
Never seeming to end.

It hardens your heart,
And eats away at your soul,
It walks down a path,
Of pure hatred and destruction.

It's like a burning fire,
Spreading from end to end,
Nothing can put it out,
Until you're left with blackness and a hole.

So don't let the shame take you,
For there is light on the other side,
It will eventually come to a halt,
And keep passing until the end of time.

A little bit of jealousy's a lot of fun. Too much though, disaster

Yes, jealousy when out of control is something we should be afraid of, but some jealousy is good. it makes the relationship healthy.
you did a good job spilling your guts on paper. I like the flow of it, and the tone is most apt.

"It walks down a path" sticks out because all the other lines are dramatic burning hateful, but walks down a path is neutral.

I love the idea of this writ! Nicely done, Travie.

I like the idea of jealousy not being a phase, but a cycle that can occur not only from love. G8 m8 8/8
